VICTORIA TORTILLA PRESS is a basic kitchen appliance that anyone can easily use, and Leverage uses it to press the ball of dough. This approach is much quicker than rolling the tortillas with a rolling pin and the tortilla does not crumble, and the tortilla formed is good.

Tortillas made from tortilla presses are just round because when the tortilla ball is pressed, it presses evenly so that the tortilla does not become thick or thin.

Tortilla Press Comes In How Many Sizes?

Tortilla presses are mostly 6–8 inches in diameter. Some tortilla presses are also 10 inches, in which case they can make large tortillas.

  • The 6-inch tortilla press is used in smaller kitchens, and it’s up to you.
  • An 8-inch medium is great for an average kitchen.
  • The 10-inch press is also used for large kitchens and mini parties as it is very easy to make, and it depends on what size tortilla you want.

Types Of Tortilla Press

A.  Wooden Tortilla Press

The wooden press is more beautiful than the cast-iron models, with a bigger overall footprint. Wooden presses are also used in Mexico. Even when we visit Mexican outdoor markets in the United States, we see them being used to making fresh corn tortillas and empanadas. The version is composed of solid pieces of durable mesquite wood, as shown above.

Many typical presses are built of pine, and pine is a fairly soft wood that doesn’t hold up well over time. The superior press is built of mesquite or oak, both much heavier hardwoods. It will make a large tortilla with an 8″ by 8″ platform.

The disadvantage of the wood press is that it is usually more primitive than the one seen above. This has no bearing on the press’s functionality, only its appearance. This press is quite heavy and big.

B.  Tortilla Press (Cast Aluminium)

The aluminum Victoria Tortilla press is light and easy to use. It’s gorgeous and gleaming, but you have to press harder to get more exercise out of it, and too much pressure can break it. Although cast iron presses are favored, some aluminum presses are created in Mexico, and Norpro, based in the Orient, makes a popular cast aluminum variant. Unless you think you’ll make tortillas once and never again, we recommend investing in a higher-quality press.

C.  Tortilla Press (Electric)

Victoria Tortilla press to operate this device, plug it in, insert a ball of dough between both plates, press it, and bake it. You may use it to make healthy flatbreads like pita, roti, focaccia, gyros, Moo Shoo pancakes, and tortillas. For easy storage, the press can be placed on its end.
